Agency Audit
Mightynetworks bundles community hosting, course delivery, and membership billing into a single platform with native iOS/Android apps and an AI Cohost for automating engagement and onboarding. It targets community builders, course creators, and membership site owners, not traditional digital agencies. Agencies could resell it to clients in personal development, coaching, or creator verticals, but Mightynetworks is designed for individual hosts to earn recurring revenue directly, not for agencies to manage multi-client deployments. The 14-day free trial and Zapier/Kajabi integrations lower friction for client onboarding.

Bottom Line
Mightynetworks bundles community hosting, course delivery, and membership billing into a single platform with native iOS/Android apps and an AI Cohost for automating engagement and onboarding. It targets community builders, course creators, and membership site owners, not traditional digital agencies. The 14-day free trial and Zapier/Kajabi integrations lower friction for client onboarding.
Reality Check
Mightynetworks does not publish a white-label or agency reseller program, so client-facing surfaces display the Mightynetworks brand. Agencies cannot present a fully branded portal to their clients, limiting positioning as a managed service. Billing flows through Mightynetworks, not your agency, so you cannot consolidate client invoicing.

Why this category matters
The commercial case before the tooling.
Core concepts
The mental model you need to price and scope the work.
- Moderation Retainer LadderConcept
Moderation Retainer Ladder treats community inbox work as a tiered service line rather than an hourly favor. Tier one is triage only: route member questions, tag product feedback, close the loop inside an agreed window. Tier two adds proactive engagement prompts and a weekly insight digest. Tier three adds escalation ownership, sentiment reporting, and content briefs pulled from member threads. Each rung carries its own SLA and price, so an agency can start a client at triage and expand scope without renegotiating the whole contract. The ladder matters because community platforms differ in how much inbox structure they expose: Circle and Bettermode ship multi-channel inboxes with routing, while Discourse leans on AI-assisted moderation and custom plugins, and Hivebrite bundles member directories and automated workflows that change what counts as a deliverable. Forrester's Q3 2026 research found workflow integration, not model selection, separates agencies that scale AI profitably from those running one-off experiments, which is exactly the gap a tiered moderation contract closes.
- Triage Debt CompoundingConcept
Triage Debt Compounding treats every unanswered member thread as a liability that grows more expensive to clear the longer it sits. A question answered in hour one costs a two-line reply; the same question at day five costs a public apology, a private follow-up, and a credibility repair with the members who watched it go quiet. Agencies that price community moderation as a flat retainer without a triage clock are absorbing that compounding cost invisibly, which is why response lag, not message volume, is the metric that decides whether a moderation contract stays profitable. The framework matters because it converts a soft service promise into a measurable delivery term a client can audit. In practice, a Discord or Circle workspace with 400 monthly member posts can look manageable at 24-hour response targets and become unprofitable at 4-hour targets unless routing rules separate support tickets from engagement prompts. Circle's multi-channel inbox and Discourse's AI-assisted moderation both shorten the clock, but neither removes the need to define it contractually.
- Signal Harvest RatioConcept
Signal Harvest Ratio measures how much usable client intelligence an agency extracts per hundred community conversations triaged. Most agencies treat inbox work as pure cost: a moderator answers questions, closes threads, and the retainer renews on response time alone. The ratio reframes that labor as an input to the content factory. A community running on Circle's multi-channel inbox or Discourse's AI-assisted moderation produces recurring question clusters, feature complaints, and objection language that map directly to next month's content calendar and roadmap memos. Agencies that log and tag these clusters can bill the same hours twice: once as moderation, once as research. The ratio matters because moderation retainers are sticky but thin, while insight deliverables carry higher margin and justify scope expansion. A practical benchmark: for every 100 threads handled, a healthy program yields 8 to 12 tagged insight items. Below five, the inbox is a cost center. Above fifteen, the agency has a defensible research product to sell.
Decision and risk
How to judge the fit, and the ways it goes wrong.
- Community Inbox Rule: Staff Moderation Before You Sell the RetainerEvaluation Rule
Price the retainer only after you have run the inbox yourself for 30 days and can show the client a measured response time and a list of insights the threads produced.
- Community Inbox Rule: Price Moderation Retainers Against Compute Exposure, Not Seat CountEvaluation Rule
Model the retainer on metered AI and compute consumption per 1,000 conversations, then set a floor price that survives a 30 percent input cost increase.
- Community Inbox Management Decision: Staffed Moderation Retainer vs Platform-Native TriageDecision Framework
IF a client's community generates a steady, measurable volume of member questions, support tickets, and engagement prompts across more than one surface, THEN sell a staffed moderation retainer built on a centralized inbox, because response lag is the variable clients actually feel and the member insights feed the content factory. IF volume is thin, seasonal, or already absorbed by the client's own support desk, THEN keep the platform's native moderation tools and charge for setup plus a light monthly check rather than a full retainer.

What agencies say about Mightynetworks
“Mighty Networks is a great, creative place”
Mighty Networks is a great, creative platform to build communities. Due to an illness, I had to withdraw from most activities and forgot to cancel my account. It was not my credit card that I had used (my elderly parents') and it was charged a year later for over $500. I reached out to them and explained and they reversed the charge right away. I'm so grateful I didn't have to bother my parents while they were traveling in Hawaii for the first time and upset them and their trip. Thank you! If I ever want to return I know this is a really good place.
Read on Trustpilot“Mighty Networks makes many promises”
Mighty Networks makes many promises, but it does not support the fulfillment of those promises. We were sold with discount motivation and pressure, an annual subscription to have a branded app of our own, and then we're given six hours of support to implement it, which was probably a tenth of what we actually needed. The interface for the user is so complex that it's like opening File Manager on a Windows computer in 1980. There are just lines and lines of information, and navigation is very difficult, even for our students who are used to going to find content from our courses. We were offered further support, but on calculations it worked out to over $1,250 per hour, and so we have now canceled all our membership project plans. These, of course, cost much more than the actual subscription at $16,000 for the first year with incentives, then over $20,000+ for subsequent years, but I would caution anybody from using this app and researching the competition, which is less expensive. In some cases, it allows you to have a branded app at no cost, like Simplero. The one compliment I would make about this app is that the inspirational talks that the founder gives and the research that they've compiled as a result of metrics of their clients are really very useful. If this is something that you want to explore, I would recommend paying for one month's membership and watching all the videos you can, and then using them for your benefit should you choose to go further with them or indeed go to a different platform. It saddens me to have to say this, as I know the impact that a Trust Pilot review can have. I have to say that I wish I checked that they had only three and a half stars as a rating before I had made a financial commitment to them. It would have saved me about $100,000 in wasted time and effort .
Read on Trustpilot“This company repeatedly billed me for a…”
This company repeatedly billed me for a service I did not want. Over many months, I sent emails asking the billing be stopped. I got back responses asking for details I had already given. Then, I would get an email asking for a copy of the receipt of payment, which I sent. This cycle kept happening many times. I kept getting biiled. So, I then cancelled my credit card and got a new one with a different number. They continued to bill me. We continued the cycle of me asking for the billing to stop and them asking for details and the copies of receipts. I asked for a refund and they said they don't go refunds. There is no way that I have discovered to talk to a real person. Everything is email and likely AI. I am so frustrated and have been charged over $3,000. They would no star if that was possible. UPDATED BASED ON MIGHTY'S RESPONSE BELOW You will see below that Mighty said they would reach out to me to help resolve the problem. They did reach out. I sent them documentation of all payments made, including the unauthorized payments. I sent a PDF showing all the times I had tried to get them to stop billing me over many months. I once again requested a refund. Three days later, here's the response I got: Val here, checking in! You've received our most recent message about your network's status. Do you need any additional help? If you're all set, or if you have any follow-up questions regarding this thread, feel free to reply and we'll be happy to jump back in to keep this moving. We look forward to hearing from you! Team Mighty YES. I need further help. I need to know you will refund me for fraudulent billing and when I will get the refund. I need to be assured I will NEVER be billed again.
