Platform Features
Core capabilities of FlutterFlow
Visual UI builder with 200+ components
Drag-and-drop interface for building layouts without writing HTML/CSS. Agencies can prototype and deploy client apps 2-3x faster than hand-coding, reducing billable hours per project while maintaining responsive design across mobile and web.
Action Flow Editor for app logic
Visual node-based editor for conditional logic, API calls, and state management instead of writing JavaScript or Dart. Reduces the need for backend developers and lets junior designers contribute to functional prototypes.
Firebase and Supabase integration
Native connectors to both databases eliminate the need for custom API layers for simple CRUD operations. Agencies can wire up real-time data, authentication, and storage without backend code, cutting project scope and timeline.
One-click app store deployment
Publish to Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and web with a single button. Removes the friction of manual build signing, provisioning profiles, and submission workflows that typically add 1-2 weeks to launch timelines.
Code export to Flutter
Download the full Flutter codebase at any time and hand off to a native development team or archive for long-term ownership. Eliminates vendor lock-in and lets agencies transition projects to custom development if scope expands beyond FlutterFlow's capabilities.
Team collaboration with branching
Multiple developers work on the same project using Git-like branches and inline comments. Growth plan supports 2 users and 2 open branches; Business plan supports up to 5 users and 5 branches, enabling parallel work on features without merge conflicts.

Bottom Line
FlutterFlow lets agencies build iOS, Android, and web apps using a visual interface with 200+ pre-designed UI elements, Firebase/Supabase database connectors, and one-click deployment to app stores. It's built for app development agencies, digital product teams, and startups shipping MVPs who need faster iteration than traditional coding. Agencies can resell FlutterFlow as a managed service retainer, though white-label options are not documented, limiting positioning as a fully branded client offering.
Reality Check
FlutterFlow does not publish a white-label program, so client-facing dashboards and deployment screens display the FlutterFlow brand. Agencies cannot present this as a proprietary internal tool. Additionally, the platform's Lite credits system (10 free, 100-400 per plan per month) caps certain operations, requiring clients to upgrade plans if they exceed credit limits during development or testing cycles.
Moderate effort: standard configuration with some customization needed

Why this category matters
The commercial case before the tooling.
Core concepts
The mental model you need to price and scope the work.
- Resale Ceiling TestConcept
The Resale Ceiling Test asks one question before an agency commits a client app to a no-code platform: how far can this build travel before the platform's own limits cap what you can charge? Three variables set the ceiling. White-label depth determines whether the app ships under the agency brand or the vendor's. Customization headroom determines whether complex client requirements force a migration to hand-coded work. Publishing control determines who owns the App Store and Google Play accounts, and therefore the client relationship. BuildFire and GoodBarber both run full white-label reseller programs, so an agency can present the app as its own product and bill a retainer rather than a one-time build fee. AppMySite converts existing WooCommerce or Shopify storefronts into native apps, which keeps scope narrow and the ceiling low but predictable. The framework matters because platform dependency is the category's stated risk, and the ceiling is measurable before the first screen is designed.
- Platform Exit CostConcept
Platform Exit Cost is the framework for pricing how much of a client app you can actually walk away with. No-code builders let agencies publish native iOS and Android apps fast, but the asset usually lives inside the vendor's runtime: screens, data models, and integrations are configured in a hosted editor rather than owned as source. The framework asks three questions before signing a retainer: can the app be exported or rebuilt elsewhere, who holds the App Store and Google Play developer accounts, and what happens to client data if the subscription lapses. BuildFire and GoodBarber both run white-label reseller programs, which raises the stakes because the client sees your brand on a dependency you do not control. Forrester's October 2026 warning that distinct AI providers converge on shared infrastructure is the same concentration logic applied to app delivery: redundancy on paper, one failure point in practice.
- Template Debt CurveConcept
Template Debt Curve is the framework for pricing the moment a client's app outgrows the template it was built on. No-code builders deliver a first version fast: GoodBarber ships over 190 extensions and one-click store deployment, BuildFire bundles 150+ plugins, and AppMySite converts an existing WooCommerce or Shopify storefront into native iOS and Android apps without a developer. That speed is real, but every template shortcut is a loan against future scope. When the client asks for custom logic, offline sync, or a workflow the plugin marketplace does not cover, the agency either rebuilds on a different stack or absorbs the gap at its own cost. The framework asks one question before signing: at what feature does this client's roadmap force a rebuild, and who pays for it? Price the retainer against that horizon, not against launch week.
Decision and risk
How to judge the fit, and the ways it goes wrong.
- App Builder Rule: Price the Exit Before You Price the BuildEvaluation Rule
Before signing a build retainer, write the migration clause: name the platform, the data export format, and the hourly rate for a native rebuild.
- App Builder Rule: Match the Build Path to the Client's Update CadenceEvaluation Rule
Choose a website-conversion path when the client's content already changes on a weekly rhythm, and reserve visual from-scratch builders for apps whose screens and data models do not exist anywhere else.
- App Builder Decision: White-Label Resale Engine vs One-Off Client BuildDecision Framework
IF an agency already runs recurring client retainers and can absorb a platform's publishing, review, and maintenance cycle as a repeatable service line, THEN standardize on a white-label app builder and resell the output under the agency's own brand. IF each app is a bespoke, one-time deliverable with unusual data or workflow requirements, THEN treat the builder as a prototyping tool only and budget for custom development behind it.

What agencies say about FlutterFlow
“Great for Fast MVPs, Great Support”
First of all, I want to highlight the amazing empathy and professionalism of Danny from support and the billing team. They truly care about users and went above and beyond to resolve my situation. There are not many people like them in customer service, who combine real skill with genuine compassion. As for FlutterFlow itself, it is a good alternative to other no-code platforms if you need to quickly assemble an MVP. There is a large library of ready-made modules, and it is very accessible for non-technical users. Custom widgets are supported, so you can even create your own modules with help from ChatGPT or other services. I wouldn’t recommend FlutterFlow yet as an engine for commercial app releases, because there are still bugs and limitations. But for fast MVPs, prototyping, it is a very useful product for users without technical background. The community is large for such services, very active (a lot of video tutorials on YouTube), non-toxic and helpful.
Read on Trustpilot“An innovative platform that…”
An innovative platform that dramatically speeds up development time through a carefully structured and well thought out UI that allows you to compile code with minimal effort... Are you tired of syntax errors and tediously writing conditions for frontend design? It goes without saying that some features aren't as capable as building yourself in Dart & Flutter BUT the time savings are insane versus manually writing code. The final nail in the coffin for my love of FlutterFlow is the fact there is NO VENDOR LOCKING! There is full ability to export entire project code, sync with github etc, documentation is super helpful, great support. Also no proprietary languages or other hidden tricks to get you stuck in an 'eco-system' (e.g. like Zoho Creator) The pricing is fair and reasonable and inline with the target market, which I think is budding developers, founders building MVPs and prototypes etc. You can actually build some pretty advanced stuff with FlutterFlow. I'm truly amazed. Thanks guys Also big shout out to Steve in their Support Team who was patient and helpful in helping me overcome a limitation with a workaround. Once again, do expect some workarounds etc which will cost you a little time, maybe a little performance, BUT this is hugely offset by the savings on development time. It can be frustrating to encounter limitations but when looking at the bigger picture it's certainly worth it and most of the time they can be easily overcome. This will speed up turning project ideas into working reality/prototypes. Definitely give it a try. Also they offer a free trial which is full feature and good enough to try out all features.
Read on Trustpilot“I was looking for a 'click and drag'…”
I was looking for a 'click and drag' solution. As a no coder, this was the only thing that came close to my needs. My notes for improvement would be to simply develop and publish common templates and functions rather than leave it to the market. Like Wordpress, most of the developer needs are common so, rather than make long tutorials, simply 'give the man the fish'.

Answers about pricing, setup, implementation
FlutterFlow is a visual app development platform that lets you build iOS, Android, and web apps without traditional coding. You design UI using 200+ pre-built components, add logic with a visual Action Flow Editor, connect databases like Firebase or Supabase, and deploy to app stores or web with one click. The platform supports team collaboration via branching and comments, and exports to Flutter code so you own the final product.
FlutterFlow lists 4 plans; the paid ones run from $39 a month (Basic) to $150 a seat a month (Business). The typical margin on reselling FlutterFlow is 45% of the fee, after the platform and labor at $75 an hour.
No verified white-label program exists. Client-facing surfaces, including deployed app dashboards and the builder interface, display the FlutterFlow brand. You cannot present this as a proprietary agency tool or fully rebrand it for end clients. This limits positioning as a white-label reseller offering.
Yes. FlutterFlow has native integrations with both Firebase and Supabase, allowing you to connect real-time databases, authentication, and storage directly in the visual builder without writing backend code. You can also integrate third-party APIs and RESTful backends via Swagger and OpenAPI specifications.
Initial setup typically takes 15-30 minutes once your agency parent account is configured. This includes creating a new project, importing a template or starting from scratch, and connecting a database. Actual app development time depends on complexity, but the visual builder reduces iteration cycles compared to traditional coding.
FlutterFlow works best for app development agencies building client apps, digital product agencies shipping MVPs, startups in seed-to-Series A stage, and product teams validating ideas quickly. It's less suitable for enterprises requiring custom backend logic, HIPAA compliance, or complex microservices architecture.
Lite credits are consumed by certain operations like testing, API calls, and advanced features. The Free plan includes 10 credits/mo, Basic includes 100/mo, Growth includes 200/mo per seat, and Business includes 400/mo per seat. If a client exceeds their monthly credit limit, they must upgrade to a higher plan or wait for the next billing cycle, so you should monitor usage during development.
Yes. FlutterFlow exports the full Flutter codebase with one click, giving you and your clients complete code ownership. This means you can hand off the project to a native development team, archive it long-term, or continue development outside FlutterFlow if scope expands beyond the platform's capabilities.
