I could have saved money and used WordPress, but at the same time, that level of perfection before publishing is why I gained little to no momentum in publishing using WordPress. With Netlify, GitHub, and Claude Code, I have been able to draft, roadmap, and publish 6.5 years' worth of ideas in 6.5 weeks. Sometimes I need to wait before i push through a change but 2 weeks after upgrading i still am only at half of my credit limits. Once the foundation is built, and my entire knowledge base is published, I will not need ot be publishing at this pace for this site, and I can downshift packages or build my next site. I love that I found this and it fits my tech stack so well

I have never deployed a website before-- to a domain that I purchased from another service provider-- using another service provider-- after building my own independent work website. Therefore, my review miget be biased. I deployed the independent website that I built with the assistance of Claude, through Netlify. Honestly I'm puzzled to read such negatively charged/emotional reviews (just skimmed a few of them)... especially because if the reviewers did indeed accomplish those tasks themselves (without using AI vibe coding excessively, a genie, etc.), it shouldn't be that intellectually challenging or frustrating to look for the relevant troubleshooting steps in Netlify. I suspect that the reviews may not be truthful. I noticed a complaint about the credits not being worth much, but in my own experience I still have 299 credits left after successfully deploying my website (soomin.dev) without paying them with anything. I think there is some merit to the claim about DNS errors (I had to delete nameservers that don't belong to me or my website) and the documentation not being easy to follow (it can feel a bit like a maze of documents, navigating from one issue to another... the 2D UI/UX reminds me of something like a manual that Windows might have created, then left behind). It does require more reading and testing. I guess the Netlify experience could be a double-edged sword, depending on what the User expects from a service provider. To me, it seems to be fairly well-designed for individual Users who have basic UI/UX literacy and are content to learn and figure things out by themselves-- without needing a Customer Service Agent (whether they are humans or bots... my guess is that there are more agentic AI than humans) holding their hand, babysitting their feelings, affirming their identities and/or politics as if that is what they are there for or are built for, and "checking in" on them... every step of the way and during every moment of their workday...

I had two of my accounts suspended for what appears to be no valid reason, and despite trying to get help, I received little to no meaningful customer support. It feels like the company relies almost entirely on AI, with no real effort to resolve legitimate customer issues. Having your accounts suspended without a clear explanation can put your websites and business at serious risk. Imagine your ecommerce or website gets blacked out! exactly.. If your sites are important to you, I would think carefully before using this service. Based on my experience, they showed very little concern for resolving the problem or helping me recover my accounts. Very disappointing experience, and I cannot recommend this company.
