   Create the client portal inside the agency Multibase workspace

   Confirm the plan's portal allowance before creating anything: Growth caps at 3 portals, Scale at 10, Enterprise is unlimited. Creating a fourth portal on Growth silently blocks delivery, so check the count first.

   Map the client's custom domain via CNAME

   Point a subdomain such as help.clientbrand.com at Multibase and verify DNS resolution before touching theming. A portal that resolves on the vendor default domain will leak the Multibase brand to the client's readers.

   Apply logo, colors, and fonts in the portal theming panel

   Upload the client's logo at the size their brand guide specifies, set the palette, and use CSS overrides for anything the visual editor cannot reach. Full white-label with no footer is included on every paid plan, so there is no upgrade gate to clear here.

   Draft or migrate articles into categories with reusable snippets

   Write once in the shared repository, then publish to the client portal. Keep screenshots current and group articles into categories so the AI has clean source material to synthesize from.

   Enable AI-synthesized answers and test against real client questions

   Run 10 to 15 questions the client's support team actually receives. Confirm answers cite source articles correctly and that failed-search detection flags gaps rather than returning a confident wrong answer.

   Validate the article-once-publish-to-many workflow across at least two portals

   Edit a shared article and confirm the change propagates to every portal it is published to. This is the check that protects a multi-client retainer from stale content drift.

   Hand off portal admin access and document the AI query ceiling

   Train the client team on the article editor, then state the monthly AI query allowance in writing: 1,000 on Growth, 5,000 on Scale, unlimited on Enterprise. Overage conversations are cheaper before go-live than after.

   Log billing outside Multibase and set the reseller commission expectation

   Multibase has no multi-tenant invoicing or per-client usage metering, so invoice the client from the agency's own system. The 30% reseller commission is the margin line to record against the retainer.
